The (non) presence of the Argentine University Libraries on Facebook. , 2010. In Conference on Digital Libraries University, 6th, Buenos Aires, Argentina, 4-5 Novembre 2010. [Conference Poster].

The objective of this research was to determine the presence of Argentine university libraries in the social network Facebook. We conducted a survey of 165 web sites libraries and private national universities in Argentina to determine which have a profile, group or Facebook page, the membership of each, the information they provide and the frequency of update. It concluded that
despite the benefits that owns the network, the presence
Argentina is almost nonexistent: only 6 libraries have a page, profile or group.
